PrideFest Milwaukee 2009

The Universal Anglican Church, Love of God Cathedral participated in PrideFest 2009 by staffing a booth.  Hundreds of Festival revelers visited our booth.  We distributed complimentary incense, answered questions, offered spiritual guidance and invited all visitors to join us during the entire year.

We also answered questions about our outreach program, Amicus, specifically serving the GLBT community on a regular basis.  For more information on Amicus, please click on our "outreach ministries" tab at the left.

PrideFest celebrates diversity once each year and we salute that.  Love of God Cathedral and the Universal Anglican Church celebrates diversity each and every week and each and every day.  Join us in celebrating your diversity!!

Providing Services to GLBT Community

2009 Celebrations of Our Relationships

At the 2009 Milwaukee PrideFest, couples wishing to "Celebrate their Relationships" joined in a group ceremony of pledging their love and devotion to each other.  They invited friends and family to witness this joyous occasion and accept God's blessing.  This was followed by a fun fellowship and bit of a food fight between some of the participants...  tsk, such good cake at that!

All in the name of love.  They expressed their feelings.  Over the years, PrideFest has offered the opportunity for couples to express their love and commitment to each other with commitment ceremonies.  This tradition continued this year with what we now call “Celebrations of Our Relationships.”

Love of God Cathedral was honored to be asked to coordinate this effort for the very first time.  We are pleased to have been an integral part of celebrating relationships, sharing the love of God and bringing joy into the hearts of all who participated!!

In addition to the group celebration we also conducted private celebrations throughout PrideFest by the clergy of Love of God Cathedral.  Our clergy customized the relationship blessings and commitment ceremonies.  All couples receive a certificate. 

You don't need to wait until our next PrideFest to join these happy couples.  Love of God Cathedral will conduct celebrations of relationships or commitment ceremonies throughout the year.  Feel free to contact our clergy for more information about this service.

Please know that you need not join our Church to receive these services.  We will plan the service with you at a location of your choosing.
